A Week of..

Wil and I have now been married a little over a week! It's crazy how time flies by sometimes. The day after the wedding, I got sick and am just now finally feeling totally better. I had flu like symptoms on Sunday and Monday last week and then had a sore throat until Saturday. On Saturday, my voice was pretty much shot and stayed that way until this morning. Poor Wil has had to put up with me not feeling all that well. He's been great about taking care of me though.

I finally got the majority of the name change stuff done, and have submitted the paperwork to get health insurance for us. It's good to know that we have insurance since Wil hasn't been to a doctor since high school and with my asthma, I have to have insurance.

Anyway, here's the quick update on us. I spend most of my time working. When I'm not working, I spend as much time with Wil as I can. Usually that means we just hang around the house playing games or watching movies, although we do occasionally go out and do things with our friends. I work on thank you cards for the wedding when I get a few spare moments as well.

Wil and I have decided that although we love and adore our dog, Rain, we can't provide the home she needs so we will be working on finding a new home for her. She's an energetic 6 year old border collie. We don't really have a yard for her to release that energy which is what she really needs. Anyone who knows me well knows how much I love Rain. This decision has been incredibly hard for me to make, but I realized that I need to do what's best for her, as well as for us.

On Saturday, we had my big Weight family Christmas party. It was fun. We were late so there wasn't much food left, but I got to spend time with my cousins, which I love. We took a big family picture (which is crazy since the family is getting far too big now), and Wil got to meet/re-meet my family. He's only been to a few of my family parties so it'll probably take him a while to get all the names down. Sunday was his Eldredge family Christmas party. That was a blast as well. I love our families and am so thankful to have them in our lives.

That's really all that is going on at the moment. Until next time...
