Life

Lately, life has been a little crazy. Nate and Megan are getting married at the end of the month (the 27th to be exact) so Megan has been busy taking care of all the last minute things that need to be done. I love the excitement that goes with planning a wedding. It reminds me of what I went through to plan mine, and how amazing the end result was.

On Wednesday, Megan, Brittany and I went to Memory Grove and did Megan's bridal photo shoot. I had so much fun taking the pictures! Brittany was a huge help and, as always, so much fun to have around. The three of us were laughing a lot, which made for great pictures of Megan. I finished editing the pictures last night and they look great! Megan and I were not able to decide which ones were our favorites, so Megan has left it up to her mom to pick out the pictures that will be printed. I've never done bridals before, but I would love to do them again.

Brittany mentioned that she wanted to wear her wedding dress again, which I wanted as well. She came up with the brilliant idea of having all three of us get in our wedding dresses and doing a photo shoot. I love that idea! Wil would probably end up taking some of the pictures (not sure how I would go about taking pictures while in my wedding dress, but I'd probably come up with something). Anyway, we probably won't do it until after Megan and Nate's wedding, but I love the idea.

After the shoot, we went back to my place to look at them on my computer (Nate was not allowed to look of course). Brittany liked them so much, that she wants to go to Memory Grove with her husband and puppie, Maddie, and have me take family pictures. I think that would be loads of fun and am more than willing to do it.

Anyway, this week has reminded me how much I love photography, and how much I still need to learn about it. It also made me realize that the photo editing program I have is very limited (although I was still able to make the pictures look great). I really wish I had a Mac and a better program. Oh well, maybe once I pay off some debts or sell my house.

  2. Photoshop Elements. It's got a lot of the most used and basic Photoshop things, but I want more. :) It works great though.
