Saturday was Wil's birthday. It was a really fun and relaxing day. Wil and I went to lunch at East Coast Subs with Lloyd and Paula (Wil's dad and step-mom). They had Nelle with them so she had lunch with us too. I can't believe how big she is getting. She is still seriously adorable, of course. Lloyd took a picture of Wil, Nelle and me by the East Coast Subs sign. The pictures are below.
Around 5:30, our friend Brittany Kenner came over and, along with our housemates Nate and Megan, we all had a piece of ice cream cake that I ordered for Wil. It was delicious and fun to have our friends around.
After cake, Wil and I went to the Grand America for the night. I get 2 free nights a year at any of the hotels my company owns so I decided to use one of those nights for Wil's birthday. We stayed in an executive suite. It was big and really really nice. We had a great (and free) dinner. I got steak and Wil got ribs. It was so good! In the morning, we had another great meal and then went back home.
All in all, I must say that it was a really enjoyable birthday (even though it wasn't mine). Everything went smoothly and Wil had fun.
