The New Me

Oh my gosh! I love the new me! I am thinner (I can feel it and see it). I have more energy. I am happier. I am awake in the morning instead of groggy. I want to get stuff done when I get home instead of just sitting on the couch. I get bored on the weekends because I don't have enough to do. I'm taking my dog to the park more often and running around with him without wanting to die. I sleep SO much better at night and rarely have trouble getting to sleep anymore. I don't even wake up 3-8 time a night anymore. I feel GREAT! I'm rarely hungry. I don't want junk food. I am starting to love my veggies. It's all just fantastic. What the heck was stopping me from doing this before? It makes no sense! Everyone always says that eating right and exercising is good for you, but if people realized what a huge effect being healthy has on your body, I think it would make it so much easier for people to get healthy and lose weight. Maybe it's something they just have to force themselves to do until they realize it for themselves. Maybe no matter how many times they are told, they just won't believe it since junk food tastes so good.

I wish I could make everyone believe it! Junk food doesn't taste all that great once your body is healthy. And being healthy doesn't mean you can never eat junk food again. I still have an occasional piece of cake or candy bar, but I'm just more careful now about how much junk I eat and when so that my body doesn't go back to being seriously unhealthy. Ok, I'm kind of rambling now, but I just love this new lifestyle I've created for myself and am too excited not to share it. If anyone wants tips or wants to join me in any of my workouts, let me know. I'd love to share this feeling with everyone. It was only hard for the first week, but after that, the changes I could feel in my body made me want to keep going.
