On the 23rd-25th, I took Wil on a surprise weekend trip. He knew we were going somewhere (I am really bad at keeping anything from him), but didn't know where (he had guesses but didn't know for sure). On Friday, I had him put the suitcase in the van (it was packed the night before by me) and told him to grab whatever items he wanted to bring, besides clothes. After work, I gave him directions. As soon as I said we were headed north, he was pretty sure that we were going to the Anniversary Inn in Logan, since I had mentioned before that I'd like to do that. That is where we were going, but I was ok with him figuring it out. We had a lot of fun. We ate at the Blue Bird restaurant, and got a pizza from The Pizza Factory that we took back to our room on Saturday night and ate while watching a movie. We also walked around the temple grounds (it was a fabulous day). It was a great weekend away and we enjoyed the time we got to spend together.
Yesterday, Wil had orientation. Today, Wil started his new job at the Intermountain Healthcare Hospital in Murray. He's doing training right now, so it's a lot of information for him to try to digest in one day. He worked in the OR pharmacy and he thinks he'll really enjoy it, but today was difficult since he had no idea what he was doing yet. He'll be working from 5 am-3pm this week. We probably won't see each other much since he'll leave for work before I wake up and he'll be going to bed shortly after I get home from work. I'm not looking forward to that part of things, but we'll find a way to make it work. I'm really excited for him to have this job, and he's excited about it too. Good things are happening for us this year!
