On Saturday, I did a 5k with my friend, Kassi. It was at This Is The Place park. Our goal was to finish and not be last. Kassi and I finished in a little bit over 52 minutes. I was 4th in my age group, and 34th among women. Kassi was 11th in her age group. Wil was there to cheer us on, which was awesome. There was one hill that was insane, but the rest of it wasn't bad. We ended up walking up the hill all 3 laps, but we would run downhill. It was a lot of fun.
Kassi and I have decided to do another race next month. We are going to get together every Saturday to run. Our goal next time is to beat our previous time. We spent most of the race talking so I think if we do less talking, it'll be easy to beat our previous time. It'll also be better if we don't have a massive hill to run. That hill slowed us down quite a bit, especially on the last lap. I don't mind though. Overall, it was a great experience and I'm excited to do it again.
